Our London client Fullers asked us to pollard this London Plane tree outside one of their pubs. Thirsty work!
What is pollarding?
Pollarding is a tree pruning method in which the upper branches of a tree are removed. It promotes a dense head of foliage and branches. Pollarding goes back to medieval times, and today it is mainly done in urban areas to maintain trees at a particular height.
